Malachi:
The prophet Malachi said that God will be honored
"among the nations" (i.e., by the Gentiles). (Malachi
1:11, 14) Malachi speaks against divorce, saying that God makes
the two into one with marriage. (Malachi 2:15) Malachi also spoke
of the "last days" -- the future around
his time (or even possibly yet to come now):
- "...A Scroll of Remembrance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored His name. 'They will be Mine...in the day when I make up My treasured possession. I will spare them...'" (Malachi 3:16-17)
- "'Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble (i.e., waste)...'" (Malachi 4:1)
Malachi refers to the Messiah:
- "'But for you who revere My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall...'" (Malachi 4:2)
